Our Favorite Pizza Dough for bread machines

For a large batch which makes two 14" pizzas you will need:

1 1/3 cups water
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
3/4 tsp. salt
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp. yeast

Place ingredients in your bread machine in the order according to your machine's directions. (wet first then dry or reverse) Set the machine to dough cycle. Let the machine do its work. If you'd like a thick chewy crust, remove pan from the machine, cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Punch down and roll into pizzas.

Note: I have made this with much success by altering the flour measurements. I've used entirely all-purpose flour, 3 cups all-purpose and 1 cup whole wheat. However, I do not recommend increasing whole wheat more than listed otherwise it will be too dense and your pizza will be too heavy.

If you don't have a bread machine this mixes well in a stand mixer, you'll of course have to allow it to rise for a bit before using. Or you can try my mixer pizza dough recipe.
