Communion Day

Lady A received her First Holy Communion today. She was so happy!
She has been talking for two weeks now about how excited she is to finally receive Jesus. She chose her dress a few weeks ago. We had two dresses as a possibility for her to wear but unfortunately she has been far taller than her older sisters were at the same age. Those dresses we had on hand were too small! I guess our Lady A is going to be a little taller than her older sisters.

Big sister Lady O styled Lady A's hair. It turned out absolutely beautiful. Lady O is our resident hair professional. We defer to her in all gorgeous hair style needs. Lady A's veil was made by me using a bridal kit. I made this veil years ago for when Lady O had her First Communion.

Cake decoration thanks to the skill of Grandma! Grandmas are the best!

Lady J didn't want to miss out on dressing beautifully. She wanted to look like all the First Communion girls. We found her flower girl dress from my cousin's wedding to be her white dress. Since I had the box out where I store my wedding veil and First Communion veils Lady J noticed the headband veil I made for Lady L's First Communion. It was the perfect addition to her ensemble. Lady J loved every minute of feeling like a beautiful First Communicate.

Lady A was honored to be one of the children who were to bring up the gifts. She smiled so big. Oh what a sweetheart. Congratulations my girl!
