Ski Men’s Hat

This Ski Men’s Hat by Irina Dmitrieva is a remaining Christmas present yet to be finished. December got away from me which happens. Ever the optimist I just assumed I would find the time to finish it! With our snow storm yesterday I was able to get a great deal finished. This morning I am going to have it done as I am working on the crown decreases. I’m using @universal_yarnDeluxe DK Tweed superwash in Porcelain (410) with 4.5mm circular needles. My estimate is the hat will use nearly half a skein of this yarn. This is perfect yarn for the project. I was so glad to find a good light colored yarn that could be durable and washed. DK is my favorite weight to work with in hat knitting. It is a good balance of light and bulk allowing for a good highlight of your knitwork. I have really loved knitting these interweaving cables! I ❤️ cables! The pattern is well written and includes a chart which I find helpful. I prefer patterns to have written AND chart instructions. I know that is more work for the designers but I find great value in being able to refer to one or the other during times of confusion. I am curious to see what the recipient will think of the hat.
