Our Lady of Guadalupe

Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! This artwork print is by Ali Towle of Saint Script. I love this image it is such a sweet addition to our home. Our Lady of Guadalupe is a beloved depiction of the Blessed Mother and a family favorite. We enjoyed some fajitas for supper and read our favorite books about Our Lady of Guadalupe. 

The first book I suggest is Our Lady of Guadalupe by: Francisco Serrano. This beautiful pop-up book is such a great book to read to children. Ours has been well loved and is seeing its age and use become more present each year. The second book we read, and often this one we read on December 9th as a way to celebrate the feast day of Saint Juan Diego is The Lady of Guadalupe by: Tomie dePaola. We choose this book for December 9th because it is more about Juan Diego's effort to bring the news of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the people of Mexico.
